Week 8 Gotcha draw winners
Congratulations to (back row) Taine, Kian and Tatum and (front row) Emma, Henna and Jacob our gotcha winners from last week. This is the third week in a row we have had all students enter the draw for awesome playground behaviour.
Special thanks to Alyssa (And Rachel) who have just about finished painting our mural to celebrate sea week. Today Alyssa shared the origin and meaning behind the mural with students asking questions. Alyssa has been impressed by our students and how friendly and inquisitive they have been.
I always wondered how Alyssa would get the mural draft enlarged from an A4 piece of paper to the wall - now I know! Looks like we are in for a late night.
Gotcha Winners Week 7
Congratulations to Jamison, Lucca, Hunter, Nixon, Portia and Keira winners of the Gotcha draw for week 7.
Assembly Week 7
Thank you to Makayla, Henna and Nylah for sharing their amazing design works with us and to Katie, Kian and Arlo for sharing their descriptive writing on important people in their lives. Well done to our Leaders - Intika, Mikayla and Jack for organising and running assembly.
Congratulations to Gary, Travis, Cole, Michaela, Nickolai, Nadia, Andrew and Angela (Absent - Charlotte and Mason) (Not in photo - Zaeb and Cayde) who were worthy recipients of this week's class awards. Well done on your efforts.
New Mural at School
We are fortunate that as part of Seaweek we have a new mural being painted on the brick wall at school. This is being done by Alyssa, a visiting artist/environmentalist from USA. Exciting times as our students see it being developed from start to finish and get to have discussions around art and the environment with Alyssa. Big thanks to Mrs Karn for organising this. The design is very exciting and should get our students talking about our environment and how we can best look after it - both school and wider community.
