Greeting from Room 2. It is my privilege to be teaching in Room 2 this year in a composite year 4 and 5 class. There are 27 children in Room 2 and assisting myself in running the morning programme is Mrs Linda Ford. We have an open, colourful, calm class environment that we are proud of and we all feel a strong sense of belonging. We are proud of who we are and where we come from and we have many opportunities in our learning day for us to challenge ourselves by choice. We have blended learning in Room 2 which means we spend half the day on devices and half the day working in books. In Room 2 we work together in teams of four. Together we have formed our own team name and team cheer to celebrate our successes throughout the day. We change our groups every 5 weeks so we get to know and work with other class members, however there are plenty of opportunities throughout the day to work with other class members other than our group or on our own. We are looking forward to setting ourselves goals for the year and setting criteria of how we will achieve them and when we will know we have. Our parents enjoy logging into our class see-saw app to check out what learning is happening throughout the day and their praise and comments is valued feedback which the class loves to read. We are proud of our school values and we strive each day to use them to better ourselves and the learning community. We have a super reward system where we colour in jellybeans when earned by carrying out our school values and when they are all coloured in, we get to select a mystery envelo pe that contains a class reward for everyone. We have cool medals that are awarded throughout the day to individuals or teams for using our school values too. We hope you come and check us out.
