Welcome to Room 3. We are trying to model our school values (P.R.I.C.E.) through a practice of “No Hands, No Feet, No Put-downs”. This means we try to do positive actions with our hands, like our work, high-fives, handshakes and helping others. Our feet are only used for running outside, making sure we find ourselves in the right place at the right times, and for playing sport. We use our words and voices to encourage and praise each other and others.
We’re a cool mixture of Years three and four, and for most of us it is the first time having a male, Mr. Roberts, as a teacher. Room 3 has signed up to a typing program as part of our handwriting learning. In our future we predict that we will need to type more than we write. It’s awesome because we can track our progress AND we can do the typing activities wherever there is Internet. There will be numerous opportunities this year, for us to showcase, adopt and even adapt different learning styles and models, and we are excited to develop those programmes to include all the students in our room.
