Keep New Zealand Beautiful
BEACH CLEAN UP
FRIDAY 15th SEPTEMBER
Next week is “Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week!” and our school is going to clean up our community
– the beach frontage, on Friday 15th September.
We will be ready to leave school 10.45 a.m. to walk in house based groups to allocated areas of the beach to clean up all the rubbish.
All children and collected rubbish will assemble back at school by 12.30 where we will take photos of our students and what has been collected to send into the local newspaper. Children will have lunchtime,
class time and assembly to finish off the day and a very busy week.
All children will need to have shoes and their polar fleece / sweat shirt on the day.
Each group will be given a plastic gloves on the day and approximately 8 rubbish bags .
We need your support to make this important community event successful.
When we take children off site we require at minimum a ratio of 1 adult to every 8 children to make sure every child is safe BUT we would like to have as many parents as possible.
If you or friends or family are able to assist us with a couple of hours of your time in keeping our great community beautiful please complete the notice that has come home with your child today.
